Integrated Management System - PAS99:2006
The Integrated Management System was developed and set-up since the first year of operation of AEGEAN MOTORWAY, based on specification PAS99:2006 and includes the following:
- Management of Quality of Services,
- Management of Occupational Health and Safety Risks
- Management of the Environmental Impact of its Activities,
- Management of Risks related to Information Security and Personal Data it manages,
- Management of the company’s Human Resources.
In the framework of the Integrated Management System, the company has identified its Processes, defined the Activities included therein and specified their Succession and Interaction.
It has developed a methodology for the assessment of Business Risks, establishing, among others, Social and Business Criteria.
It has identified, analyzed and assessed Risks for Occupational Health and Safety by means of Occupational Risks Assessments elaborated for each facility and activity of the company.
It has identified, analyzed and assessed the Environmental Impact resulting from its operation, by means of the Environmental Aspects Assessment.
It has set up mechanisms and channels of effective communication with the Staff and has established Policies and Actions for its Social Environment.
It has specified criteria and methods for the efficient operation and monitoring of all the above, it has ensured the necessary resources and audits, it measures and analyzes actions, while applying schemes for further improvement thereof.
Special attention has been given to monitoring the Performance and Effectiveness of the Integrated Management System. In this context, monitoring tools have been developed focusing by priority on the Internal Audit Process. The Internal Auditors Team has been appointed and is operational implementing scheduled Internal Audits mainly targeting the identification of fields and points needing further improvement. The strictly professional implementation of Internal Audits is ensured with repeated, regular training sessions required by Standard ISO 19011, which provides the Guidelines and Framework of Management Systems Audits.
