Ιntegrated Management System Certification
AEGEAN MOTORWAY concurrently to the commencement of its business activity has initiated and developed an Integrated Management System incorporating:
- Services Quality Management in accordance with the ISO 9001:2008 Standard;
- Management of Occupational Health and Safety Hazards in compliance with OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard;
- Management of Environmental Impact deriving from its Activities in compliance with the ISO 14001:2004 Standard;
- Security of the Information Management in compliance with the ISO 27001:2005 Standard;
- Corporate Social Responsibility in compliance with SA 8000:2008 Standard.
Due to the degree of complexity and the extent of the Company’s Activities, the Certification of the Company is a continuous and dynamic process which is carried out gradually, with the objective to extend over all company Departments and Activities. Up to this date, in just 4 years after the Company was established, Aegean Motorway SA has been certificed in the following areas:
- Quality in compliance with the ISO 9001:2008 (Management Division, Design and Construction Division, Operation and Maitenance Division – Toll Station)
- Occupational Health and Safety Management in compliance with the OHSAS 18001:2007 Standard (for the Company in whole)
- Environmental Management in compliance with the ISO 14001:2004 Standard (for the Company in whole)
- Corporate Social Responsibility in compliance with the SA 8000:2008 Standard. (for the Company in whole)
The Certification has been awarded by the Independent Certification Body Lloyd’s Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), member of the Lloyd’s Register Group (LR).
It must be noted at this point that at this point in time, Aegean Motorway SA is one of the few companies in Greece that has succedding to establish the required level of orgnanisation and management required to implement the above Statndards, in just four years after its establishment.
